Perfusion MRI: Blind-deconvolution AIF estimation

Perfusion MRI: Blind-deconvolution AIF estimation

The accuracy of perfusion-parameter estimation in DCE- and DSC-MRI perfusion imaging depends primarily on the Arterial Input Function (AIF), characterizing the local inflow of the contrast agent. We have been developing algorithms to estimate the AIF indirectly from tissue signals that lead to more reliable and subject-specific AIFs, compared to the standard literature-based AIFs or AIFs measured in large arteries.
